Okay, so now you may be asking yourself, “How does Remote IT Support actually work?”
In a nutshell, Remote IT Support is a secure service that allows a representative (us – your “personal IT go-to-guy”) to assist an end-user (you) in solving computer problems, either by showing what steps to take via screen sharing, or with permission, taking control of the desktop and performing a task remotely.
We need to install a small piece of software called an Agent onto each computer and it will gather a whole range of information about any hardware and software being used on that device. The Agent then uploads to the cloud portal where it can be accessed remotely by your “personal IT go-to-guy”.
Remote Monitoring Management (RMM) enables us to remotely monitor, manage and offer support and we’ll remotely install the Agent onto your PC to ensure that your PC is running optimally.
Another question you may be asking is, “Will my ‘personal IT go-to-guy’ actually ask or notify me before taking a look at my PC? ‘Cos if not that’s kind of creepy!”
Valid question! Rest assured, our system has been set up where you will receive a pop-up which you need to accept before we can access your PC to offer you assistance.
